The third Monday of February is celebrated in the USA as a federal holiday: Presidents' Day. Established back in 1885 as president George Washington's birthday, it eventually evolved to be widely recognized as Presidents' Day since 1971. This year the holiday falls on February 17, 2020.

Since the holiday is held on Monday (interestingly, that was made intentionally to create more three-day weekends for the workers), a lot of US businesses, as well as US federal and state government offices, are closed or work on a shortened schedule. The usual trading sessions are also disrupted. For instance, The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be closed on Monday and will resume working on Tuesday, February 18. NASDAQ is also going to be closed, along with the majority of the US banks.
